Laugh, I must,
in the face of the absurd,
for if I stop to breathe,
I shall weep
until the end of time.
For I know not
what man believes is just
when lies beget truth
and hate carved of fear.

Soundtrack of the Shift
Every awakening deserves a soundtrack. As I wrote this poem, a series of songs shuffled into my world… raw, ironic, bittersweet, and somehow perfect. If you’d like to hear the echoes that played through this elegy, I’ve gathered them into a playlist: Songs For an Elegy of an Awakening
(A cosmic mixtape curated by spirit guides, emotional gut punches, and the occasional rock ballad.)
